Instead of doing an interoffice gift exchange, interested members of the staff at the Decker Law Firm each sponsor one of the kids from St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children.
Participants receive a child’s name, clothing size and a few suggestions for an appropriate toy for that child. The staff always has a good time picking out gifts and making sure children who are less fortunate are not forgotten at Christmas. We had an overwhelming amount of participation this year, and we’re very excited to deliver these gifts to St. Mary’s today.
St. Mary’s is a long-term pediatric residential care facility dedicated exclusively to children with severe physical and intellectual disabilities and one of only about 100 facilities of its kind nationwide. Staff provide medical, therapeutic, educational and recreational services for as many as 92 children and young adults, ages newborn to 21 years.
