Decker Law Names Jeffrey P. Partington Partner
Norfolk, VA — Decker Law is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeffrey P. Partington to Partner, recognizing his outstanding contributions and commitment to client service since joining the firm.
Experienced Legal Professional Joins Partnership
Jeffrey P. Partington brings extensive experience in personal injury and business law to his new role as Partner at Decker Law. Furthermore, the firm specializes in personal injury, criminal defense, and traffic law, with additional expertise in wills, trusts, estates, business law, and medical malpractice throughout the Hampton Roads region.
Jeff’s journey with Decker Law began in 2006 as a summer law clerk, where he developed strong relationships with the firm’s leadership. Subsequently, he returned in 2017 as an Associate Attorney, demonstrating his dedication to the firm’s mission of serving the community.
“As a law clerk, I had great respect for them,” Jeff explained. “I got my first exposure to a law firm here, went other places in between and returned. I’m absolutely thrilled for the opportunity to be part of what this firm has built and continue the tradition of service to the community and helping people.”

His specialized expertise includes representing local automotive dealers in complex litigation matters. Additionally, Jeff’s approach focuses on vigorous courtroom advocacy for clients facing both significant and routine legal challenges.
“I enjoy working with people whether their legal problems are big or small,” Jeff noted. “The outcome means so much to individual people. I love to be a litigator in the courtroom and fight for our clients. I like to vigorously represent them in the courtroom. That is my favorite part of the job.”
Educational Background and Community Involvement
The Virginia Beach native graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from University of Richmond School of Law. Previously, Jeff earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the prestigious College of William & Mary.
Beyond his legal practice, Jeff maintains strong community ties. He and his wife, Kristin, have three children and reside in Norfolk’s historic Ghent neighborhood. The family actively participates in the local community as members of Ohef Sholom Temple.
