NORFOLK, VA — The Decker Law Firm is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeffrey P. Partington to the position of Partner with the firm.
Decker, Cardon, Thomas, Weintraub & Neskis, PC specializes in personal injury, criminal defense, and traffic law with added expertise in wills, trusts, estates, business law and medical malpractice. Its attorneys practice in all seven cities of the Hampton Roads region.
Jeff started at The Decker Law Firm as a summer law clerk in 2006, when he got to know the Decker family, President and Managing Partner Martin Thomas Sr., and Partner Joel Weintraub. He returned in 2017 as an Associate Attorney.
“As a law clerk, I had great respect for them,” Jeff said. “I got my first exposure to a law firm here, went other places in between and returned. I’m absolutely thrilled for the opportunity to be part of what this firm has built and continue the tradition of service to the community and helping people.”
Jeff practices in the courts of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Newport News, Portsmouth, Hampton and Suffolk. He primarily serves clients seeking legal help with personal injury and business law and has extensive experience in civil litigation and litigating cases on behalf of local automotive dealers.
“I enjoy working with people whether their legal problems are big or small,” he said. “The outcome means so much to individual people. I love to be a litigator in the courtroom and fight for our clients. I like to vigorously represent them in the courtroom. That is my favorite part of the job.”
The Virginia Beach native graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from University of Richmond. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from William & Mary.
Jeff and his wife, Kristin, have three children and reside in the Ghent section of Norfolk. They are members of Ohef Sholom Temple.
